Stainless steel is one of the popular metals used in jewelry, specifically wholesale fashion rings for men. This is because it's durable, scratch-resistant affordable, and has a brilliant shine. Although stainless steel jewelry needs little to no maintenance at all, it's still best to care for them to make them look new even longer.

Today, we created a list of cleaning and maintenance tips for stainless steel jewelry.

Cleaning stainless steel jewelry should be pretty easy. There is no need for any jewelry cleaners or special soap. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Get a small container and pour warm water in it, just enough to soak the jewelry.
  2. Put a few drops of mild dishwashing soap, then mix until it bubbles up.
  3. Dip a clean lint-free or microfiber cloth into the soap solution.
  4. Gently wipe your stainless steel jewelry, paying attention to the nooks and crannies. You can use a soft-bristle toothbrush for the hard-to-reach areas.
  5. With another lint-free towel dipped in clean water, wipe the soap off the piece. Then pat dry with another clean cloth and allow to air dry.

Maintenance

As mentioned earlier, stainless steel jewelry doesn't need maintenance as it does not tarnish and is scratch-resistant. However, it may get some scratches too, especially when you've been wearing the ring or necklace for a long time now and rarely remove it. That is why maintenance is still necessary.

To avoid scratches, make sure that you take your stainless jewelry off when you need to do some rigorous activities. These include playing sports like basketball, swimming, and tennis, and doing mechanic work.

ring boxes

You should also be careful in storing stainless steel jewelry pieces. Always keep them separately from others. You can do this by getting a jewelry box meant for only one piece, or if this isn't available, you can place each jewelry in a small pouch. Alternatively, you can wrap them individually in facial tissue or a soft lint-free cloth.

In the case of deep or stubborn scratches, you can have them polished by a professional. If they aren't too deep, you can try rubbing the piece with jewelry polish and a polishing cloth.
