How to Clean Ring Trays

Here are a few tips and tricks to clean your ring trays.

Ring tray with gold and silver rings

Whether you are a wholesale fashion jewelry seller or a jewelry collector, owning ring trays are a necessity. This is because they organize rings neatly and make it easier for customers to try out the pieces without messing up the display. However, what do you do if your ring trays get dirty? This week, we will be giving some tips on how you can clean your ring trays.

Cleaning velvet ring trays

Velvet ring trays are one of the toughest types to clean because dirt and dust can easily get caught up in the surface. You can use a piece of sticky tape to remove the dust and other small particles. As for fur or fuzz, you can use a lint roller or lint remover. On the other hand, if it has stains, use a mild dishwashing soap and water solution and use a soft-bristled toothbrush to gently brush off the stain. Rinse the area by gently stroking with a clean damp cloth. Allow to completely air dry.

Cleaning acrylic ring trays

Acrylic ones are much easier to clean. All you need to do is dip a clean lint-free cloth in a bowl of mild dishwashing soap and water solution. Avoid using towels that are not lint-free though, as they will cause scratches on the surface. Gently scrub the surface until all stubborn dirt have been removed. Use another clean damp lint-free towel to rinse the soap. Air dry completely afterward.

Cleaning metal ring trays

Metal ring trays may or may not be easy to clean. This is because it depends on what metal it is. If it is stainless, mild dishwashing soap and water solution will do, as you won't have to worry about getting rusts. Otherwise, you can only clean your tray by gently stroking with a soft paintbrush or makeup brush. A soft lint-free cloth will do too.

Cleaning wooden displays

As for wood, our favorite mild dishwashing soap and water solution is the way to go. Dip a clean lint-free towel in the solution, wring it nearly dry and gently wipe the surface. Immediately rinse with another clean cloth and dab dry with another one. Cleaning wooden displays should also be quick, as you would want to lose its natural oils or finish.
